We want school leaders – all school leaders – to feel they have ownership of the College. We need to listen to school leaders and shape the College so that it responds positively to their needs and to the needs of future leaders.
Steve Munby, Chief Executive, NCSL
During June and July 2005, Steve Munby, NCSL’s new chief executive, hosted a series of regional consultation events – with the theme of growing the future together – for an invited audience of headteachers, local authority and union representatives.
At each event Steve presented his thinking on the future direction of the College and invited those attending to comment on how these proposals match up to what they see as the challenges facing today’s school leaders.
