1. Who should attend the BSF Leadership Programme?
The programme is intended for senior management teams involved in strategic decision making. Those attending the Programme will be tasked with considering what their school might look like in the future and the challenges that key agendas such as personalisation, the 14-19 agenda and Every Child Matters offer for learning environments.
School leaders will be joined by a maximum of three representatives from their local authority, who should be familiar with the BSF process and the needs of learners when developing new learning environments. More information on eligibility.
2. Will "Fast Track teachers have access to the BSF Leadership Programme?
The BSF Leadership Programme is open to senior management teams involved in strategic decision making. If a Fast Track teacher is part of this team that are involved with the BSF process then yes they can have access to the programme.
3. Do applicants have to have Qualified Teacher Status?
Applicants do not have to have Qualified Teacher Status, we do advise however that applicants do have an interest or active involvement in the BSF process.
4. Does my headteacher have to recommend me for this programme?
The support of the headteacher is encouraged, a formal recommendation is not required.

You can only apply for a programme that has been allocated to your local authority.

There are 36 places available to local authorities involved in the BSF Leadership Programme, 33 places for school teams and 3 places for local authority representatives. 10. I would like to work with a colleague headteacher, is this possible?
Throughout the programme there is the opportunity to network with other colleagues within your local authority.
If the eligibility requirements are met and places are available you will be registered. If there is a problem with your application the BSF team will contact you as soon as possible.
