The Diploma of School Business Management (DSBM) has been designed to enable you to develop your strategic leadership capability. Participants progress to assessment within 12 months. Their progression is supported by:
You will start the course as a member of a small group of SBMs and receive individual support from the expert facilitator assigned to that group. You will take responsibility for your own learning and will become involved in debate and study with both your own group and the national population of individuals studying the DSBM.
The course will take no longer than 12 months. It all depends on your personal circumstances and learning style however most people finish within nine.
The DSBM is structured as follows and is underpinned by continual practitioner and study skills development.

Two-day out-of-school workshop where the first module is introduced (strategic management), followed by two to three months in which you are able to complete assessment pieces and a work-based project which is submitted for assessment.
Two-day, out-of-school workshop where the second module is introduced (managing school improvement), followed by two to three months in which you can complete the assessment pieces and the work-based project which is submitted for assessment.
Two-day, out-of-school workshop where the final module (change management) is introduced along with a review of your current status, followed by a period of two to six months in which you may complete your assessment pieces and the final assessable work-based project.
