The Financial Management Standard in Schools (FMSiS) website is available at www.fmsis.info.
Registration for the FMiS community of practice, which is available through talk2learn, is currently open to those with a direct interest in school based finance including school leaders, teachers, governors, LEA officers and members of school based remodelling groups such as parents and support staff. If you are an existing member of NCSL in Dialogue, you will automatically have access to the FMiS community and do not need to complete the online registration form.
You are not eligible if you are a school/FE/HE student or if you don't have a direct link with finance in schools.
When you complete the registration form, you will be asked for details about the school you are affiliated to for participation on the community eg school name, LEA number and establishment number. This will be used to authenticate the information you have given us. The reason for the authentication is to ensure that the community remains a confidential forum where members can share experiences and ideas with the confidence that they are sharing them only with those with an interest in school based financial management.
When you complete the registration form, you will have the opportunity to attend a training course on using talk2learn. View training dates and venues. Once you have submitted the form, you will receive an email acknowledgment that details the process that follows. When you have been successfully registered, you will be provided with a username and password together with guidance material. Please notify the e-learning facilitation team on 0115 872 2090/2099 if any of your email details change before your talk2learn course start date.
