The National College for School Leadership subsidises the cost of Head for the Future.
The school contribution for Head for the Future is £890 per participant.
The school contribution will be invoiced at the start of the programme in the four to six week lead-up to the residential session. Schools will also have to pay any supply and travel costs.
Independent schools are eligible for Head for the Future at a cost of £2,500 per participant.
Small schools with 100 pupils or fewer are entitled to a full subsidy from NCSL and therefore are not required to pay a contribution.
For small school participants starting the programme on or after 1 September 2008, schools will receive a capped expenditure allowance upon completion of the programme towards supply and travel costs. Schools will be contacted directly to confirm payment details towards the end of the programme. The small school allowance for 2008/2009 for Head for the Future is £500 per participant completing the programme.
Please make sure you have read the Head for the Future cancellation policy which is applicable to all schools.
