In 2005/06, over 2,600 primary and secondary schools advertised for a new headteacher. Around one third of primary schools and a quarter of secondary schools failed to make an appointment.

This short questionnaire is designed for headteachers, diocesan boards, school groups or other networks addressing the challenge of recruiting talented school leaders. It aims to stimulate thinking about current marketing strategies and options for building a longer term effective recruitment marketing strategy.
