Job descriptions meet a number of needs: recruitment, training, job evaluation, performance management and organisation review.

A key purpose of a job description or role profile is to identify for a job holder the contribution required by the school.

In order to describe and recruit for a headship role, you need a clear understanding of what the job is accountable for delivering.
