Futures thinking
Use this tool to consider and capture your personal feelings about what your school of the future could look like. This may be useful as you consider a move to headship.
You can use these thoughts to inform your current leadership development.
This is not a list of recommendations, but a chance for you to reflect on how you feel about a set of possible future scenarios. Some of the statements may sound plausible; indeed they may be happening now. Some may seem far-fetched and impossible to achieve. Some may be things you feel very strongly about and will be a priority for a school you lead.
The tool looks at three areas:
- Leadership and learning communities
- Personalisation and the school
- Learning and teaching
You will be presented with a number of statements in each area and you can indicate how much you agree or disagree with each one.
