Consortium Leadership Consultant

Evaluation in 2007-08 reported that, as leaders and managers, you valued a bespoke service, co-designed with you, to meet your specific and changing needs. To consolidate this approach, we have developed the role of the Consortium Leadership Consultant (CLC).

How can your CLC help you?

Each successful consortium in Gateways 1 and 2 has been paired with their own Consortium Leadership Consultant (CLC). The CLC's role is to:

You will first meet your CLC at the Professional Development Conversation that is currently being arranged. The CLC will work as part of a team of local and regional colleagues, particularly with the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT).

For those in consortia in Gateways 3 and 4 we will be contacting you soon with further information about your own CLC and support available to you.

Other workforce development partners

CEL and NCSL have appointed a Leadership Development Coordinator (LDC) in each of the nine English regions. LDCs will work closely with the DCSF's 14-19 regional adviser, government office 14-19 policy leads, local authorities and other workforce development partners, all working to achieve successful 14-19 Diploma delivery. They will carry out a number of roles within their region, collecting, collating and facilitating the sharing of information and good practice.

LDCs, CLCs and CEL/NCSL's network of qualified expert consultants and coaches will work as a team within each region. They will share information with each other in order to maximise and share learning from developments and support you in the most beneficial ways.

Getting started

Consortium leads can contact Helena Kopec who will put you in touch with your CLC.
