If you were on the Headteacher Induction Programme (HIP) and have transferred to Early Headship Provision (EHP) you are eligible to claim £500 supply cover in addition to your EHP flexible grant if you are a headteacher of a small school. If you are a new EHP participant and are eligible for a small school supply grant, it becomes available to you once registered as an EHP participant. The eligibility for small school status is as follows:
Small school supply claim form
(82kb, 2 pages) should be sent to the EHP team, NCSL, Triumph Road, Nottingham, NG8 1DH. Please only use the new supply claim form and discard previous versions of this document.
NCSL recognise the role and challenges facing acting headteachers. Providing you are in post for a minimum of one term, the EHP grant will be available to you for up to three years from the date you take up post. Should your acting headship finish, you are responsible for contacting NCSL to freeze the fund until you gain another substantive or acting headship post. The remaining fund will be made available to you again at this time. A change of circumstances form
(79kb, 1 page), can be used to inform us of your change of circumstances. It would be useful to save this link as a 'favourite' on your internet browser.
Once funding has been authorised, you have a responsibility to keep your personal details and employment status up to date. Should your circumstances change and the funding is not frozen upon completion of your acting headship, then the college will not extend the period of activity for longer than the agreed three years
To enable your journey through the EHP to be managed efficiently your contact details must remain up to date. If you contact details or status as a headteacher change, please complete the change of circumstances form
(79kb, 1 page).
When you apply to participate in an EHP activity through the Learning Gateway you will be asked to agree to the terms and conditions of the cancellation policy
(14kb, 2 pages) which is operated by all regional EHP providers.
You will have the right to appeal against any charges you incur as a result of cancelling an activity. Should you wish to make an appeal you will need to complete an appeal form
(69kb, 1 page). The booked activity must first be cancelled through the Learning Gateway and the appeals form must be received by email within 30 days of your cancellation of the activity
