For the teacher

• Fast Track provides a framework of competencies and assessment helping to identify those teachers with the potential to achieve a senior leadership position.
• A highly motivated and passionate teacher who is prepared to take on extra responsibilities and contribute to the wider objectives of the school.
• During the programme, the Fast Track teacher will lead a Wider School Focus project that creates genuine change for the school and the community.
• Fast Track teachers return after each development event and share fresh skills, thinking and expertise with other members of the teaching community.
• Fast Track provides an opportunity for schools to support the development of talented teachers into senior leadership roles – helping to grow tomorrow's leaders.
• NCSL covers the full cost of training, development activities and support received by Fast Track teachers.
  

NCSL's online communities

As a participant on Fast Track, you automatically gain access to NCSL's online communities. You will gain access to a private community for your programme and to our public communities.

Our public communities allow you to connect with peers from across the education sector. They are a great place to engage in professional dialogue, to stimulate debate and to learn from the wisdom of others. Within them you have access to a confidential and extensive network of colleagues, experts and policy-makers with whom you can debate, discuss and share ideas.
