New Visions is fully funded by NCSL for anyone who is eligible for the Early Headship Provision (EHP). Applicants can apply for the Early Headship grant if they are within the first three years of headship. For this reason, enrolment onto New Visions is dealt with slightly differently than on most other NCSL programmes.
Once registered for EHP, participants are given full access to their grant and the NCSL's 'Learning Gateway' (an online learning management system). Once logged into the 'Learning Gateway', participants can then enrol onto New Visions. Login and click the EHP link in My learning, where you can view a step-by-step guide on how to enrol onto learning activities.
Applications from the Independent sector are also welcome and the appointed New Visions training providers are available to talk to you about groups, dates and costs. Please contact your desired training provider for further details.
When enrolling on New Visions you will have the option to choose a preferred group from the list of locations provided in your region. You will be required to remain with your chosen group throughout the six-day programme which is spread across 10 months and includes a residential session and four further one-day sessions.
Participants are also responsible for cancelling their enrolment to New Visions if necessary. You must do this via your learning record in Learning Gateway. Please note that there is a cancellation policy in place.
