At NCSL, we have been exploring the notion of distributed leadership and how it can support leadership teams. We have conducted various projects to investigate how distributed leadership works in practice.
Findings from the projects have been drawn together in a set of materials, which support middle leaders in primary and secondary schools. The hard-copy materials can be used in conjunction with the website, which includes an interactive card sort exercise that you can use to evaluate how distributed the leadership is in your school.
