Primary case studies

This case study describes how coaching developed at Hayes Park Primary School, from the headteacher's experiences on a coaching development programme to how the culture spread throughout the school.

Secondary case study

After the headteacher adopted coaching as a different model for line management, he led training sessions with the leadership team to spread the culture through the school. Middle leaders are now using a coaching approach too.

Cross-phase case study

Mentor/coaching has been developed through the EAZ (now Bedford Learning Community) since the practice acted as a key lever to bring one school out of special measures. A plan to develop a coaching culture systematically across the Bedford Learning Community is now underway.
