A grant of £5,600 is paid to the participant's school/children's centre and contributes towards supply cover, travel costs and additional resources required to help with the research. This is paid in three instalments throughout the year depending on how the individual is progressing. Expenses for attending the selection interview are also payable. There is no direct cost to the participant or school for involvement in the programme.
