NCSL has awarded grants of £5,000 to 56 leaders of sustainable schools. The grant schools work with others in their region to develop the leadership practices which enable schools to become more sustainable. Schools from each of the nine English regions will share their experience and skills and create plans for engaging local partner schools and other partners in this work.
These local and regional groups come together regularly to reflect on their leadership of sustainability and try out new ways of working in their schools and communities.

Supporting this project are three organisations - NCSL, ENCAMS (Environmental Campaigns) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
